SA Wildlife rescue and rehabilitation program

Overview

Working together with various different Government conservation departments, as well as international bona fide Wildlife rescue organizations, the project tries to establish a temporary and/or permanent sanctuary for the rescue and rehabilitation of captive, managed and/or free roaming wildlife species.

concentrates on the rescue actions of animals in captivity. The focus has mainly been as on Argentina as there is a growing consciousness that wild animals do not belong in cages, leaving zoos closed and animals with no home and no quality of life.

They aim to utilise the wildlife conservation initiatives for socio economic development and development projects to empower poor and unemployed neighbouring rural communities in the North West Province with job creation-, conservation education-, training- and skills transfer programs.
